The course had just started and we knew we needed a plan to break the ice in a big way. No endless meetings or formal talks: we wanted something fun, intense, and with a great vibe. And what could be better than a trip to Madrid with a theme park included?
Spoiler alert: there were screams, laughter, selfies, and more than one person who said, “I’m not getting on that,”… and ended up getting on.

On Friday, we started with dinner at the residence hall. The pizzas arrived, and the shyness disappeared. Suddenly, people were changing tables, telling random stories, and organizing which attraction would be first the next day.
It was that typical moment when you think, “OK, these people are cool.”
Saturday was the highlight: a full day at Warner Park. It coincided with the Halloween season, and every corner looked like something out of a movie. Lights, music, and unexpected scares around every corner.
Roller coasters, haunted houses, and selfies with characters meant that no one stood still for a minute. There were friendly competitions to see who would sit in the front row, screams on the most intense rides, and brave souls who ended up going on everything—even though they had sworn otherwise the night before.
And of course, the night didn’t end there. All the residents got together to experience Madrid’s nightlife. This was definitely a great plan.

After so much energy, Sunday was much more relaxed. Walks along Gran Vía, photos around the city, and a final meal with the whole group.
That feeling of “I don’t want it to end” was in the air. But so was the feeling of knowing that this is only the beginning of a year full of stories.

The trip to Warner Bros. was just the first plan of the year. At Stephouse, we want every student to feel that this stage of their lives is about more than just studying. It’s about living experiences, discovering new places, and creating memories that last much longer than a semester.

In our residences, you will find your space to study and rest, but also a community with which to share unique moments. Plans, getaways, and friendships that make living here special.
Looking for more than just a room? Stephouse is the place for you!

No, Stephouse organizes activities throughout the year: getaways, themed events, sports activities, and much more.
No, but participating is the best way to integrate and enjoy the Stephouse community.
These experiences are part of the Stephouse lifestyle. Some are free, and others, such as trips or tickets, may have a small cost.
All Stephouse residences coordinate so that students can enjoy shared experiences.
