Christmas at StepHouse

Christmas at StepHouse: celebrating Christmas in a student residence that feels different

If you’re reading this, let me tell you one thing clearly: spending Christmas at StepHouse has nothing to do with being stuck studying or counting the days until you go back home. Here, Christmas is lived, shared and, above all, remembered. I’m a StepHouse resident and I’m going to tell you how we celebrate this time of year in our student residences across Spain. Spoiler: you’ll want to be here next December.

Christmas in a student residence where something is always happening

Throughout December, StepHouse is full of plans designed to connect, share and enjoy real student residence life. These are some of the most anticipated activities.

Christmas decorations straight out of Pinterest (and Instagram)

From the beginning of December, common areas completely change. Lights, huge Christmas trees, garlands and festive details turn the lounge into the most Instagrammable spot in the residence. Many times, it’s the students themselves who decorate together, creating that “home away from home” feeling everyone needs at this time of year.

Gingerbread cookie workshops (and the occasional flour fight)

Gingerbread cookie workshops are already a StepHouse classic. Improvised teams, impossible decorations, friendly (or not so friendly) competition and cookies that last less than a story. It’s one of those plans that brings together people who used to just say hi in the elevator.

Secret Santa in the residence: gifts, laughs and subtle hints

Secret Santa is sacred. Affordable budgets, maximum creativity and gifts that range from genuinely cool to completely ridiculous — but always entertaining. It’s impossible not to laugh when someone unwraps a gift they didn’t know they needed.

Christmas dinners you don’t expect in a student residence

Christmas dinners at StepHouse bring out our most polished side. Better outfits than usual, beautifully decorated tables and an amazing atmosphere that turns a simple dinner into a shared experience and strengthens the sense of community.

Pre-New Year’s Eve celebrations (because waiting until the 31st is overrated)

At StepHouse, we celebrate New Year’s Eve in advance with pre-grapes. Music, toasts and laughs in a moment that perfectly sums up what it means to live in a student residence where there’s always something going on.

StepHouse Awards: you only get it if you live here

The StepHouse Awards are the final highlight. Categories like most charming resident, fashion victim of the year or ugliest Christmas sweater turn the night into a full-on show, packed with jokes and memories.

More than a student residence: a real community

Christmas at StepHouse isn’t just about parties or decorations. It’s about feeling accompanied, creating memories while being away from home and sharing moments with people who end up becoming real friends. If you’re looking for a student residence where things actually happen and every season has its own magic, StepHouse is your place.
